I'm currently attempting to read "A Short History of nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. Extremely fascinating book so far. Bryson attempts to give us the remotely laymen's version of the science of how everything that is, is. More later.

Quotes of the Day

Just a few "quotes of the day" for today:

"Heaven is not here, it's There. If we were given all we wanted here, our hearts would settle for this world rather than the next. God is forever luring us up and away from this one, wooing us to Himself and His still invisible Kingdom, where we will certainly find what we so keenly long for."
- Elisabeth Elliot

"The Bible talks plentifully about joy, but it nowhere talks about a 'happy Christian.' Happiness depends on what happens; joy does not.
Remember, Jesus Christ had joy, and He prays 'that they might have My joy fulfilled in themselves.'"
- Oswald Chambers

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose"
- Jim Elliot
